The EGIA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving and expanding the future workforce of the home services industry. We are actively working to reverse misconceptions about and increase awareness of career paths in our industry among young people.

To reach that better future, we are committed to increasing the pipeline of talented young professionals selecting HVAC as their first-choice career and bolstering the industry’s ability to meet consumer demand well into the future, goals we are working toward through a number of initiatives.
Originally founded in 2002 with approximately 40 members, Women in HVACR was organized exclusively for educational purposes to further the growth of women in all areas of the HVACR industry. This included growth in technical, sales, management and ownership roles. It is the organization’s goal to provide members with a variety of opportunities to network and develop in a professional environment.

WHVACR’s mission is to improve the lives of its members by providing professional avenues to connect with other women growing their careers in the HVACR industry. It empowers women to succeed through networking opportunities, mentoring and education. Our scholarships provide funds for women technicians and business professionals to begin rewarding careers in the HVACR industry.
